Job Description
- Install, calibrate, and configure field instruments, transmitters, sensors, flow meters, level gauges, pressure/temperature devices, and control systems
- Perform loop checking, signal verification, and functional testing of instrumentation systems
- Troubleshoot instrument and control system issues during commissioning
- Collaborate with E&I engineers, supervisors, and other discipline teams during testing and startup
- Verify proper installation against drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines
- Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including punch lists, test reports, and calibration certificates
- Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities such as FAT/SAT (Factory/Site Acceptance Tests)
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, project procedures, and quality standards
- Assist in training operators on proper instrument operation and maintenance
- Support system handover to operations after successful commissioning
Other Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field- 3–7 years of experience in instrumentation installation and commissioning, preferably in industrial or oil & gas projects
- Strong knowledge of control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and field instruments
- Familiarity with loop diagrams, P&IDs, and instrument datasheets
- Understanding of electrical and safety standards
